Sikkim News – World Wide Press Release » Social Studies and English Subject papers scrapped: "22 Nov, Gangtok: After a turmoil surrounds the entire state on Class IX papers being leaked and the ghastly environment aroused from the incident among the students, parent and teachers the department decided to scrap the exams of Social Studies and vernacular English which is scheduled for tomorrow and on 24 November. This was decided after an emergency meeting called hours ago by the authorities. This was told to the media over a phone by the Education Director CS Rao. Rao told to the media that an investigation will be conducted to reveal the truth behind the whole case, a preliminary enquiry committee will be setup with seeking a police help in the said matter thoroughly. He also said that already conducted papers will also be seen and taken a appropriate decision."
