This works on ANY Xperia arc.
Your arc does NOT have to be rooted.
Your arc does NOT have to be bootloader unlocked.
This does NOT re-lock a SIM unlocked phone (unlocking is ONCE and PERMANENT).
This does NOT unlock a SIM/network/carrier locked phone (buy an unlock code).
This does NOT unlock your bootloader.
This WILL wipe your phone & root. Backup first. Root after with GingerBreak (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PVRNSit44Sg&hd=1)
There are currently 4 [generic] firmwares available:
- North American generic "LT15a" (850 Mhz)
- Global generic "LT15i" (900, 1,800 Mhz)
- UK generic "LT15i" (900, 1,800 Mhz)
- Hong Kong customized [Chinese support] "LT15i" (900, 1,800 Mhz)
NOTE: Flashing an LT15i firmware onto an LT15a phone will not change the radio and give you "i"-frequency 3G on your LT15a phone and vice versa.
However, all ROMs since Android 2.1 have included the software portion of both radios so you CAN flash an "i" firmware onto an "a" phone, enter in the APN settings and use "a"-frequency 3G in North America (and vice versa).
For example, this is useful if you'd like to use the Hong Kong firmware (with Chinese support) on an LT15a phone in North American (3G would still work in North America using an "i" firmware).
I have also extracted and packaged the Rogers (Canada) firmware.
2.3.2, Build 3.0.A.0.181
You MUST have both installed and updated:

You will need Bin4ry's Graphical Flash Tool:
[I couldn't get it to work with the latest 0.2.9.1 beta. I had to use 0.2.8 so I suggest downloading that version.]
