Applications are invited from the bonafide local candidates for deploying for following fellowships under various projects in the Sikkim State Council of Science & Technology. These fellowships are on purely temporary and co-terminus along with the projects.

Eligibility conditions and other details:

Applications of local bonafide candidates with requisite qualification shall reach to the office of Shri D.P. Neopaney, Joint Director, Department of Science & Technology and Climate Change, Government of Sikkim, Development Area, Gangtok-737 101 Sikkim on or before 4 pm of 15th (Fifteenth) December 2010. “Walk in interview” for above mentioned posts/fellowships by a panel of experts will be conducted on 22nd (twenty-second) December 2010. No separate intimation letter will be sent for Walk-in Interview. The applicants should attend the Walk-in Interview with all original certificates.

The applicants while submitting the application on or before 4 pm of 15th (Fifteenth) December 2010 shall provide following documents along with application for screening purposes:

Certified copy of Sikkim Subject/Certificates of Identification;

Certified copy of requisite education requirements from recognized university.

Certified copy of age proof;

Two pass post size photographs

Copy of local employment card and

NOC from Heads of the Department in case of in-service candidates.

Age limit for all the fellowships mentioned above is from 18 to 30 years as on 31st December 2010 which has upper age limit relaxation by 5 years in case of candidates are from SC/ST category and by 3 years for candidates from MBC/OBC category.

The applicant should enclose a self addressed envelope having details like name, postal address, contact telephone / mobile no. etc.

The initial award to the fellowships will be for only one year to the selected candidates. Extension/continuation during the subsequent year shall depend on the progress of the candidate and also continuation of project. The extension and continuation of the fellowship will be at the discretion of Member Secretary, Sikkim State Council of Science & Technology. The candidates are required to work under Sikkim State Council of Science & Technology at Gangtok for various projects under it.

The Sikkim State Council of Science & Technology reserves the right for acceptance/rejection of any application.
